While Brady was napping this afternoon, I was able to plant some flowers!

Garden Update!

Our garden is progressing nicely! It is so much fun! Every evening after work Brady, Maddie and I head straight to the garden to see what has changed during the day.

Memorial Day 2010

It's important to me that Ev and I teach our children the meaning behind each holiday. This weekend we will take time to remember those who have sacrificed for us and those that are serving our country right now. I think grateful thoughts of my grandfather, the Carey sisters who enlisted as nurses, Kinsie Raynor and her family, and so many others.

Katie's Adventures in Gardening...

I am attempting my first garden this summer...wish me luck! Ev built me this beautiful raised bed and Brady and I spent the day planting. We enjoyed looking at our tulips, just opened on Friday. We mourned our lost corn, thanks to Lucy the cat, my starts died...but we planted more! I'll keep you posted!
